I have a event that turns on a outside ligth for 3 hrs as soon a dusk dawn sensor (x10) detects nigth fall (no ligth). Problem that I am having is during the summer, the ligth turn off late, but in the winter the ligth turns off to early, question is how can I deal with the change of time during the change of seasons?

My porch and driveway lighting come on 15 minutes after sunset. harmony touch My porch light goes off at midnight. The driveway lights are LEDs lining the sides of the driveway and a couple of LED sconces, one on each side of the garage door. Those stay on until 15 minutes before sunrise. My interior living room lights come on 30 minutes before sunset and off at 11 on work nights, 12 on non-work nights. They also have an override that will turn them on if it is daytime and if my backyard luminance detector is below 250lux - only when at least one of us is home. This is for days when it is so overcast as to make it dark in the living room. __________________ Randy Prade Aurora, CO Prades.net HS3 - Supermicro SYS-5017C-MTF - Windows Server Essentials 2012r2/VM Win 7 - My HS Heating and Energy Monitoring project - UltraWeatherbug - UltraECM3 - Ultra1Wire3 - EnigmaTheatre's Arduino plug-in My joy
I have a virtual device "DayNight" that I set at sunrise/sunset and use that value in a number of events. For example, combined with a virtual device for Here/Away, I can have different responses to a driveway alert. Sunrise/sunset trigger is a great tool. Barry

Barry I use the "Is Nighttime" condition in many of my events. __________________ cheeryfool Software: HS 3.0.0.94 Linux; drule's IP/Serial Plugin; iRule. : HS3 Pro 3 on a Ubuntu harmony touch VirtualBox VM on Win 8.1 64bit Hardware: Shuttle PC; Z-Troller; Sena LS100; irTrans Ethernet; harmony touch Harmony One; Monoprice HDMI 4x4 True Matrix; Intelix DIGI HDMI extenders
I use the "Is Nighttime" condition in many of my events. Clearly a better method. I can't seem to find that condition in HS3. I see it listed as a trigger in the help file, but when I try to set up an event, I don't see it in the drop down list. Wh
